We work with you to find ways to afford to pay those bills. Get help with electric, natural gas, propane, wood, pellets, fuel oil, coal, and other fuels through emPower.

Whom and How We Help

emPower™ provides households with direct-assistance payments in all 83 counties in Michigan, working with utility and energy companies and providers across the state. emPower makes enrollments into affordable payment plans through Consumers Energy's Consumers Affordable Resource for Energy (CARE) and DTE Energy's Low Income Self-Sufficiency Plan (LSP) programs. emPower is a TrueNorth community service.
